Mike joined the CMA when it was created in 2014, having previously worked for the Office of Fair Trading. He is an Assistant Director in the Consumer Protection team, where he has been leading the CMA’s recent investigation into misleading environmental claims in the retail fashion sector. He also co-leads the UK’s work with the International Consumer Protection Enforcement Network (ICPEN), which brings together about 70 consumer agencies from around the world. For several years Mike has been leading a working group within ICPEN aimed at bringing consistency of understanding and approach to consumer agencies’ approach to environmental claims.
