Secondly, our mission is to ensure the handweaving sector itself is sustainble. This means we ensure our artisans have sustainable livelihoods, and we support and initiative policy change within the country for recognition of the needs and rights of the hand weaving sector.Sustainability initiativesWe only use natural fibers, 85% of which are sources from Ethiopia. We have a waste water treatment system so clean the water used for dyeing so it can be reused, we have a biogas system to generate fuel for dyeing, and we produce functional products from all textile wastes such as scraps of fabric and yarn.Pledges for the yearWe working with a number of local organizations to obtain GOTS certified cotton from Ethiopia within the next 2 years.Social equity at your companyWe have a very active health and safety committee which conducts training and ensures our working environment meets all standards, we have a social fund to support selected needy community members with cash 2-3 times/year, we have a grievance committee to hear and deal with any employee issues, we do a living wage survey every 1-2 years to understand costs of living and to ensure our salaries are above this amount, all staff have medical coverage plus access to interest free loans, and 60% of our leadership is female.

Vehicle is provided for transport & allowance is taken care. We have 1:1 male & female ratio of employees. We are a religously balanced work force. At MAMTA FOMRA, we are impartial and any misoginistic attitude of the male workers against the female ones is totally unacceptable. I personally stand for the female employees.

It’s a need for an hour to switch to Eco Friendly Products to contribute to the sustainability of environment and do their share of the sustainability of the environment. Some of our ecofriendly products are 100 % Modal Scarves, 100 % Organic Cotton Scarves, 100 % Bamboo Scarves & a blend of these ecofriendly fibers.Sustainability initiativesMost of our scarves are made by handlooms. Hand-looms are environment-friendly and are an independent and autonomous in technology. The industry presents a quality on itself to sustainable development and reduction of negative impacts on environment and ecology as well as providing sustainable employment for rural India.Pledges for the yearWhile handloom industry is recognized as an environmentally sustainable industry due to its low energy and resources used, Faizals Craft has taken further sustainable initiatives to improve its environmental performance. The dyes used in our scarves are azo free which are non-toxic. Waste water from the dye house is treated and released to agricultural fields, and the dye sludge is sent to be reused in the cement industry. The production process focuses on achieving zero material waste.Social equity at your companyFaizals Craft has been dedicated to raising the living standard of Artisans in the developing World since our inception over two decades ago. We have established a small fund in Northern India with the purpose of helping Workers and their Families with educational, medical & other emergency costs that arise. Company is established in order to uplift the rural products by purchasing directly from the Artisans so this way improving the overall progress of rural people by giving them appropriate price Faizals Craft does not discriminate its workers based on their gender, disability, religion or race. Both male and female workers are employed. Faizals Craft is committed to provide safe and healthy working environment at looms and ware house for all of its workers as per the guidelines provided in the national labour law.
